1. Djerba, the Tunisian beauty

Between two activities at the club, head for Sidi Mahrez or Seguia beach to stretch out on the golden sands facing the turquoise sea. A stay in Djerba means strolling through the whitewashed streets of Houmt-Souk, marvelling at the colors and shopping in Midoun, or contemplating the works of artists from all over the world in the surprising Djerbahood.

Don’t forget to visit the Lalla Hadria Museum to admire an incredible collection of Islamic art. Unless, of course, you prefer to indulge in a local tradition: relaxation in the hammam. A visit to the Stradun is a must, as well as a chance to do some shopping and stop off at a café.

Dubrovnik’s surroundings are also not to be missed. Stroll along Lapad Bay, explore the pretty little island of Lokrum and stroll through the charming town of Cavtat, surrounded by green hills.

3. Marrakech, former imperial city

A cheap weekend with friends in the Marrakesh area offers a profound change of scenery. The energy emanating from the medina and Jemaa el-Fna square is simply incredible. After a stroll through the souks, stop off to see the most beautiful monuments, such as the Bahia Palace and the Koutoubia Mosque. The Jardin Majorelle is another must-see on a Marrakech getaway, to see the vegetation, the colors and end up at the Yves-Saint-Laurent museum.

Nature is wonderful in this region. A swim in the Ouzoud waterfalls or a camel ride in the Agafay desert awaits groups of friends just 2h30 flight from Paris.

4. Alcúdia, Balearic charm

Majorca is the perfect destination for a cheap weekend getaway with friends. Comfortably installed in a hotel on the shores of Alcúdia’s minor lake, you can enjoy one of the island’s most beautiful bays, swimming at the beach and exploring the coastline on a jet ski. The streets of the old town are superb, with numerous shops on some of the main roads. And what a heritage! History buffs can tour the fortifications and stop off at the foot of the Sant Jaume d’Alcúdia church and its various gates.

The sea is the natural element that attracts the most attention in Alcúdia. But there are also some great walks to be had in the area. Along the paths of the Formentor peninsula or in the S’Albufera nature park, made up of dunes, lagoons and marshes. An ornithological paradise.

5. Hyères, Provencal atmosphere

With friends, you can also choose to stay in France and discover one of the wonders of the Côte d’Azur, the town of Hyères. Its historic center is a concentrate of Provence, with streets that go up and down, facades in shimmering colors and stores selling local crafts and gastronomy. Not far from the remains of the Château d’Hyères, the Villa Noailles is a renowned contemporary art center with exciting exhibitions.

Later, on the road to the Presqu’île de Giens, stop off at the Almanarre beach to enjoy the sea spray and try your hand at kite surfing. At the far end of the peninsula, there’s a pier where you canspend some time on the Golden Isles. The island of Porquerolles, for example, is a paradise of trails, forts and translucent beaches.
