Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival at Marrakech
The first day of 10 Days Morocco Itinerary from Marrakech, Transfer from Marrakech airport to your Riad. You will explore the main attractions and monuments of the city including the famous Jamma el Fna square, Koutoubia mosque, the souks, palaces, and museums. We’ll also explore parts of the city such as Gueliz, The Menara Gardens, and Majorelle. After lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll get the chance to explore the city at your leisure.
Day 2: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
Today your tour kicks off with a view of the Atlas Mountains as we snake through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass to the Unesco World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, famous on the big screen for movies like the Gladiator and the famous HBO series, Game of Thrones. We’ll then continue to Ouarzazate to visit Atlas Film Studios and a Kasbah located in the city. We’ll continue our tour from Marrakesh towards the Valley of Roses, famous for its annual Festival of roses, then drive to Dades Valley where we spend this night in a hotel, The first night of our 10 Days Desert tour Imperial cities & Marrakech outside Marrakech.
Day 3: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert
We’ll continue our tour to visit Todra Gorge, a colorful narrow canyon famous for outdoor lovers. We’ll continue through the Ziz Valley to reach Erfoud, an oasis town known as the gate to the Sahara desert and recognized for its unique fossils. There we can visit a local factory that produces artisans and house decor made from fossils, there is also a local shop where you may purchase such items as souvenirs.
Then, we’ll drive towards Rissani, where we’ll visit the local souk and then drive in direction of the desert to reach Merzouga. Arriving at a checkpoint we leave the vehicle and begin our camel ride into the desert dunes, accompanied by experienced guides, arriving at the Merzouga Desert Camp where we’ll stay overnight in Berbere tents. This spectacular night will be rendered unforgettable with a unique and traditional starlit Berbere dinner topped off by tribal music around a desert campfire.
Day 4: Merzouga Desert – Nomadic Families – Erg Chebbi
This day will be spent exploring the Merzouga desert. You’ll get a chance to “do your own thing”, with the option of camel trekking, or exploring via the comfort of a 4×4. We’ll also visit the Khamlia village famous for its traditional music. We simply can’t miss the opportunity of appreciating the sunset behind the dunes of the bewildering Sahara desert. Our night will be at Small Riad/ hotel.
Day 5: Merzouga – Errachidia – Midelt
After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll drive past Rissani and Erfoud stopping in Midelt, the Atlas Mountains, for lunch. We’ll then explore Midelt at your own pace, or retire to a local hotel where you’ll spend the night.
Day 6: Midelt – Ifran – Fes
Today we’ll further explore Midelt and then we drive to Azrou, where we’ll stop to explore a forest resort and, possibly, feed the wild monkeys that reside there. We’ll then continue to Ifrane and then Fes, where we’ll stay overnight at a local hotel.
Day 7: Fes guided tour
Today we’ll explore the oldest city in Morocco and enjoy walking through its alleys and small streets. Sightseeing includes the Royal Palace gate and Jewish quarter visits as far as other cultural and historical sites including the Al Qaraouine University, the Tanneries, and the Mulay Idriss mausoleum. You can spend the afternoon exploring the fascinating medina before having dinner at a local restaurant. We’ll spend the night in Fes at a local riad
Day 8: Fes – Chaouen
Today we drive from Fes to Chaouen, located in the Rif Mountains. We’ll explore Chaouen’s medina and spend the night at a local riad
Day 9: Chaouen – Rabat – Casablanca
After breakfast and a half-afternoon in the Blue Pearl (Chaouen), we’ll drive to Rabat, Morocco’s capital, to explore its main sights and attractions. There, we may have lunch before continuing to the largest city in Morocco, Casablanca, where we’ll spend the night.
Day 10: Casablanca Airport
Today we’ll visit the main attractions and monuments in Casablanca including the Hassan II Mosque. Then, after lunch at a local restaurant, then transfer to Marrakech Menara airport for your departure flight. End of our 10 Days Morocco Itinerary from Marrakech.
