Day 1: Arrival at Agadir:
Your 5 Days Desert Tour from Agadir, will start by picking you up from the airport and departure to Agadir-Oufella, a panoramic view of the whole city of Agadir, then we will go to the promenade of Marena next to the beach of Agadir, free time, and then transfer to the hotel.
Day 2: Agadir – Taliouine – Taznakhte – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate:
Leaving at 8:30 am from Agadir we start our 5 Days Desert Tour from Agadir passing through the city of Taliouine known for the Saffron, then we continue to Taznakhte known for its famous carpets, continue through the mountains of the Anti-Atlas until we reach the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, famous for its world-famous films such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones, the Mumia and several more, and also declared as cultural heritage of Unesco, then we continue to Ouarzazate where the film studios are located, about 18h30 we arrive at the hotel in the middle of the Ouarzazate palm grove. Dinner and overnight in Riad.
Day 3: Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Tazarine – Rissani – Merzouga desert:
After breakfast, you will continue your journey to the Sahara desert of Merzouga, via Draa valley crossing the volcanic rock formations of the Anti-Atlas Mountains to Agdez and Tamnougalt. You will then drive through Nkob, a small Berber town known for its numerous Kasbahs and as the access point to trek through Saghro Mountains to Dades. You will then reach Rissani, a Saharan town that is considered the cradle of the Alaouite dynasty, popular for its traditional market if not the most important in the south in the old days, where many nomads come to shop. Heading further to one of the main desert destinations, Erg Chebbi desert, where you will take a camel trek to head to the camp assisting the sunset on the way over the sand dunes, you will enjoy your dinner and spend the night in the camp.
Day 4: Merzouga Desert – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Skoura:
After breakfast, you meet up with your driver and then make your journey back from the desert to Dades valley with stops in Erfoud city known for the fossilized rocks; and the Todra Gorges, the canyons are a hidden gem for rock climbers besides Taghia. You can do a leisurely walk in the palmary for a couple of hours with a local guide to visit the palm trees. If you choose to overnight in Skoura, you will drive through the valley of roses and the road of 1000 Kasbahs otherwise you be heading to your hotel in Skoura for the night.
Day 5: Skoura – Taroudante – Agadir
We will drive to Agadir, after taking breakfast, which marks the end of our 5 Days Desert Tour from Agadir. Along the pathway, you will observe beautiful views of Bou-Azzer mine, Taznakht which is most famous for its handmade Gelims and Carpets, cross the two mountain passes of Tizi-N-Ikhsane and Tizi-N-Tighatine to reach the heart of Saffron production area of « Taliouine », to have lunch there, and where there is also an amazing Saffron museum, then Taroudant followed by Souss River and numerous Argan trees.
