4 Days Morocco Desert Tour from Errachidia

Day 1: Errachidia – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga

On the 4 Days Morocco Desert Tour from Errachidia. Pick-up at 9 am from Errachidia Airport/Hotel and drive to the Merzouga desert visiting the Meski blue spring, the Ziz valley, the marble and fossil workshop in Erfoud, the mausoleum of moulay Ali Cherif and the Oulad Abdel Halim Kasbah in Rissani and lunch on site (Arabic Pizza). Arrive at the Erg Chebbi dunes and overnight in a Kasbah Hotel, or ride camels to spend a quiet night in a private bivouac in the desert under nomad tents.

Day 2: Merzouga – Lac Maider – Zagora

Early morning departure in the direction of Zagora in the Drâa Valley (the largest palm grove in the world) via the track via Taouz (old rock engravings), Lake Maider and lunch break in a local restaurant or as an open-air picnic. You explore the same desert landscapes like salt lakes, Hamada, black desert, small villages and oases, dunes, mountains, nomad tents and acacia trees… We arrived at the old departure point of the caravans to “Timbuktu 52 days”. Arrive late in the evening and spend the night in a Riad Hotel, or in a desert bivouac.

Day 3: Zagora – Ouarzazate – Dadès Valley

After breakfast, our destination is Ouarzazate (the African Hollywood) via the Anti-Atlas along the fascinating Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest river and an ancient caravan route with its huge oasis and pre-Saharan Kasbahs. Lunch in a local restaurant at the Tamnougalt Kasbah, then on to Tizi n’Tinifift (1660 m). You’ll visit the Taourirte kasbah (old Ouarzazate), the Amridil kasbah at Skoura and the Rose Valley at Kalaat M’gouna. Arrive late evening in the Dades Valley and overnight in a Kasbah Hotel.

4 Day: Dadès Valley – Todra Gorges – Ziz valley – Errachidia

In the morning at 9 a.m., we head for Errachidia, passing through the magical Todra valley and its spectacular gorges favored by rock climbers. The route continues via canyons and the Berber villages of Tamtatouchte, Asoul and Rich. Lunch break on the way, after which we enter the canyons and the Ziz valley to visit an ancient abandoned kasbah of Amezzouj. Arrival in Errachidia at the end of the day and the end of our 4 Days Morocco Desert Tour from Errachidia.
