Description:
10 days Morocco tour from Agadir all inclusive is one of our favorite tours. Come with us on this magical discovery of all that Morocco has to offer.
Start your trip in Agadir and visit Chefchaouen, the famous Blue City nestled in the Rif Mountains to the north, before exploring the famous medina of Fes. Then head to the Sahara Desert and make your dream come true on a camel. Ride through Morocco’s southern region and on to Marrakech, where you’ll end the trip with sights and sounds and the smell of exotic spices and snail soup!
Itinerary:
Day 1: Agadir – Essaouira
During your 10 days Morocco tour from Agadir, you will visit the city of Agadir with its beautiful beach and cucumbers, souks, historic kasbahs, and numerous cafes where you can get busy or relax to your heart’s content. Then head to Essaouira, a wonderfully quiet fishing town on the coast, where you can explore its Phoenician, Berber, Portuguese, Jewish, and French past in well-preserved architecture, small alleys, and a charming medina. Stroll through quiet squares, browse craft stores and galleries, admire thuja wood artifacts found only in Morocco, or head to the port to inspect the day’s catch.
Day 2: Essaouira – Unagha – Marrakech
Reach Marrakech via a scenic inland road with a forest of argan trees (sometimes with goats!) that grow only in this region of the world. During this relaxing drive, you will stop at cooperatives that produce argan oil. Overnight stay in Marrakech.
Day 3: Visit Marrakech
After breakfast in the riad, you will explore Marrakech, the “red city of Morocco.” Your tour guide will show you the most important historical and cultural sites, including the Saadien tombs, the El Bahia and El Badi palaces, and the Ben Youssef Koranic school. You will have lunch at a restaurant near the square and in the afternoon visit the Majorelle Gardens, the Menara and the Koutoubia Tower. After dinner, you will have the opportunity to stroll through “Jemaa El Fna Square,” which is filled with magicians, storytellers, snake charmers and food vendors. Overnight stay in a hotel or riad.
Day 4: Marrakech – Casablanca – Rabat – Fès
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up in Casablanca, where you will visit the Hassan II Mosque, the largest outside of Mecca, and explore the coastal strip on the Cornish Sea. Next you will travel to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Here you will see Hassan’s Tower and the Kasbah of Oudaya. We will continue the journey to Fes and stay overnight in a riad in the heart of the medina. Overnight in our hotel/riad.
Day 5: Fes guided tour
After breakfast in Riad, we will be accompanied by a local guide who will show us around the city. It will be a full-day program, justified by the city’s rich history and architecture. After all, Fes is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to one of the oldest universities in the world. After a day exploring the city, we’ll have dinner and sleep in Fes.
Day 6: Fes – Ifrane – Michlifine – Midelt
After breakfast, we will head to Midelt and drive through Ifrane to reach Azrou, covered by a cedar forest where wild monkeys live. We will have the opportunity to take pictures with them and have lunch in Imozar. After lunch check-in at the hotel. Dinner, overnight stay and breakfast.
Day 7: Midelt – Ziz Gorges – Merzouga Desert.
After breakfast, we depart Midelt for the Ziz Gorges, the highest and narrowest gorge in Morocco, with panoramic views of the ancient Berber clay villages that dominate the valley. Lunch is served under the high red cliffs of the gorge. Continue to Erfoud and Rissani, then through the open black desert to the village of Merzouga, where you are greeted with a glass of mint tea before riding a camel for 1 hour 30 minutes. Dinner and overnight in a Berber tent.
Day 8: Merzouga Desert – Todra Gorge – Ouarzazate.
After photographing the sunrise and having breakfast, you will return to the village of Merzouga on camelback. En route, you will admire the unique beauty of the imposing dunes of Erg Chebbi, which change from day to day. After arriving in Merzouga late in the morning and showering at the hotel, you continue on to Rissani, the ancient Sijilmassa, the founding site of the Alaouite dynasty, the current ruling family. Most women wear veils and men wear hoods-a very traditional Moroccan town. We continue on to Agdez, passing through Alnif and Tazarin, have lunch in N’kouba before arriving in the fascinating Draa Valley, on the edge of the Atlas mountain range, and on to Ouarzazate. Overnight in a riad.
Day 9: Ouarzazate – Taliouine – Taroudant
Depart Ouarzazate for Taroudant, descending to Tazenakht, an important center of carpet weaving. We are now in the land of saffron! Stop in Taliouine to visit the saffron museum or plan your visit for the saffron harvest festival in October. We continue on to Taroudant. Overnight stay in Taroudant.
Day 10 : Taroudant – Agadir Airport.
After breakfast, depart for Agadir Airport, where our 10 days Morocco tour from Agadir ends.
