2 Days Tour from Marrakech to Zagora

If your trip to Marrakech is not a short weekend getaway, there is nothing more authentic than taking the 2 Days Tour from Marrakech to Zagora to the desert and spending the night in a traditional Berber.

Itinerary:

Day 1 : Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Zagora:

Pick up at your hotel or Riad at 08:00 am and departure towards Ouarzazate, crossing the High Atlas Mountains by the pass of Tizi N’tichka (the highest pass of the Atlas, with 2,260 m. altitude) we will see many Berber villages that are next to the mountains, before arriving in the city of Ouarzazate, we go to the ancient Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Visit the Kasbah where many movies have been filmed, such as Obelix, Babel, Sahara, Kingdom of Heaven, Cleopatra, and Gladiator. We will continue the route will stop in the city of Ouarzazate, having lunch on site, and visiting the Kasbah of Taourirt famous for having filmed many movies, and continue the route to Zagora known as the Gateway to the Desert, we will cross the Anti Atlas, and make a photo stop for the wonderful Draa Valley, we arrive in Zagora where our camels await you to take you to the heart of the Sahara desert. Dinner under the starlight and overnight in typical Berber tents.

Day 2: Zagora – Agdez – Daraa Valley – Marrakech:

Early wake up to see the sunrise over the small dunes of Zagora, followed by a typical breakfast in the Zagora camp. Then ride back to the camels to meet your driver to drive back to Marrakech. We will have free time in Ouarzazate for lunch at a local restaurant and visit the famous Kasbah of Taourirt. In the afternoon, arrive in Marrakech, transfer to your Riad/Hotel, and end our 2 Days Tour from Marrakech to Zagora.

Very good service of the tour. They took us from Ouarzazate to Merzouga where we did a camel ride, and then we stayed in the desert. Very good facilities, food and hospitality! The next day the tour continues until we arrive in Marrakech. Just what we were looking for!

It was a really really good experience the tour guides were amazing they know everything about every part of their country we went to almost every touristic place in morroco plus we rode camels and slept in the dessert. Also, we had a delicious dinner and breakfast all made by them at the dessert and they also gave a small music concert. We slept in beds inside the tents which was more than what we imagined and we were also able to take showers in the dessert. Very very good!

Our driver Hassan went above and beyond our expectations to show us his country and Berber culture. He customized our time to show us exactly the kinds of things we told him that we were most interested in. Live traditional music, eating lunch with the locals, natural features, and so much more that gave us a really memorable experience!
