We start our 4 days Desert tour from Marrakech. Shortly after breakfast, we will explore some of Morocco’s sights. Among them, the High Atlas Mountains, the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and the Atlas studios of Ourazazate.
We will continue south. We will cross the Valley of Roses. We will be able to admire the incredible scenery in the palm grove of Skoura, Spending an unforgettable night in the Merzouga desert
Itinerary:
Slide 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Roses Valley – Dades Valley:
The furst day of 4 days Desert tour from Marrakech, Breakfast. Departure from your riad in Marrakech via the High Atlas pass, Titchka col, stopping to enjoy the wonderful views offered by the route and to rest or snap pictures as desired. Continue on to Ouarzazate, where we will stop for lunch before continuing on to Skoura, which is nestled in the middle of the Valley of Palm Trees, a huge and labyrinthine oasis whose dense foliage envelops exquisite secret kasbahs and where you can also explore the Kasbah. Then we’ll go via the Valley of the Roses (renowned for rose cultivation) to the Dades Valley, where we’ll see the Dades Gorges. Dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Dades Gorges, Todra Gorges, Rissani, and Merzouga Desert:
After breakfast, following the road of 1000 kasbahs, through the colorful Berber villages of the Dades Valley. 45 km further on, you will reach Tineghir with its beautiful palm grove and Jewish quarter. You’ll continue on to Todra Gorges (Todgha), where you’ll have free time to hike through the 300m-high canyons, a favorite spot for climbers. Then you will leave for the Erg Chebbi dunes in the Merzouga Sahara desert and you will have time for lunch on the way before arriving in Erfoud. Then we’ll head for the Erg Chebbi dunes. We’ll have to go at 16:00. mount the camels that are waiting to take us on an adventure in the Sahara, sunset, and when we arrive, camp and have dinner. Fire with music drums in the middle of the Sahara, this is a great opportunity to take beautiful photos, we will spend the night in nomad tents
Day 3 – Merzouga desert – Rissani – N’kob – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate:
Early in the morning, we will wake up to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi, followed by breakfast at the camp and dromedary ride back to the hotel on the dune line. We head to Rissani, a small Saharawi town in the southeast of Morocco, here we can stop to visit a fossil workshop before continuing to the junction of the Agdez and Draa valleys, where we continue north to Ouarzazate after crossing the Anti Atlas Mountains. dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech:
If you enjoy movies, you can visit the film studios in Ouarzazate, where many famous Hollywood films have been shot. Then we’ll take a detour to see the well-known Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Free hour to wander about the kasbah and ascend to the top to take in the views. We’ll be crossing the High Atlas Mountains again, with their stunning scenery. Arrival in the afternoon in Marrakech. transfer to your hotel or to the airport. and end of our 4 days Desert tour from Marrakech.
