Holy Week Morocco Tour

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Pick up at Marrakech airport and transfer to the hotel. Depending on arrival time possibility to take a first contact with the famous Jamae el Fenna square.

Accommodation and breakfast in riad.

Day 2: Marrakech – Telouet – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

Departure after breakfast crossing the High Atlas by a port of 2,260 m by Berber villages, then we turn off by a middle road in the mountains with a contrast of colors, visiting the Kasbah Telouet, we continue through Berber villages to reach the fortified village of Ait ben Haddou World Heritage Site where several famous films were filmed as Gladiator, Obelix, Sahara with Penelope Cruz … in the afternoon arrival in Ouarzazate the capital of cinema. Dinner and overnight in riad.

Day 3: Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Merzouga

After breakfast visit of the Kasbah Taourirt and leave towards Zagora crossing the mountain of the High Atlas, Jebal Lkissan to the Draa Valley where we will go on a track into the valley passing through Berber villages and kasbahs in the middle of the largest palm grove in Morocco we pass through lost villages through the dry oueds. We will finally arrive at the foot of the beautiful dunes of the Erg Chebbi desert (the highest dunes in Morocco). In the afternoon we will go with the camels to the camp in the middle of the dunes with a journey of one hour to reach the haimas where we will spend the night.

Dinner and overnight in the desert tent with traditional Berber music.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra – Dades

Early we will see the sunrise in the middle of the desert, have breakfast and leave for Rissani first imperial city of Morocco where we will visit the most typical market in the desert area, souk of animals, vegetables, is a market and before was a stop for the nomadic caravans coming from the desert to make their goods with gold; carpets and dates and so continue their journey through the desert. Then we pass through Erfoud village where the whole theme related to fossils is centered; we will pass through the palm grove of Tafilalet, visit the Todra Gorges and end our tour in the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight in kasbah hotel.

Day 5: Dades – Valley of Roses – Skoura – Marrakech

In the morning we continue through the valley of the thousands kasbahs, we will see the Valley of Roses and the palm grove of Skoura with its Kasbahs, possibility to visit the kasbah Amridel in the middle of the palm grove, then we will cross again the mountains of the high Atlas. In the afternoon we will arrive in Marrakech.

Day 6: Guided tour of Marrakech

Guided tour of the historical monuments in the medina as the Bahia palace, the Saadies tombs, the Koutoubia or Kutubia mosque, the souks, the Jamae el fenna square in the afternoon free at your disposal.

Overnight and breakfast in riad.

Day 7: Marrakech Airport

Transfer to the airport at the agreed time and end of the Holy Week Morocco Tour.
